puma glow run

The concept of the ‘fun run’ has always eluded me. WHAT? RUNNING LONG DISTANCES? FUN? However, with the rise in popularity of things like the Colour Run and now the Glow Run, I’m starting to see where the ‘fun’ part comes into it. I missed the Colour Run that took place a few months ago so am excited for the upcoming Glow Run in Brisbane. The event is held in partnership with headspace, the national foundation for youth mental health in Australia. I was initially hesitant at the thought of a 5km run but was put at ease by the fact that the focus is more on fun than finish times. The course features three Glow Zones, complete with resident DJs, and culminates in a giant dance party at the finish line. The first Glow Run took place in Melbourne in April and Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth will all get their turn from August to October.
