beanie time

I guess this post is an apology of sorts. I used to mock people who would wear beanies in warm weather. A beanie with a singlet and shorts? Puh-lease! How does that even make sense? Lately, however, I’ve found myself eating my words. My stockpile of beanies is growing, and I’m itching to wear them. The problem? These mild Queensland winters are barely coat-wearing weather let alone beanie-wearing weather; some mornings and evenings being the exception. As a result I’ve found myself wearing beanies, with short sleeved tops and dresses, even when it’s sunny and 20+ degrees Celsius outside. So, this is me eating my hat (beanie) and apologising to anyone who wears beanies in warm weather*.

*Even though I still believe summer does not equal beanie-wearing weather and since we’re headed into winter I’m technically in the clear.

  1. i'm so on your page … and live at the sunny coast. Bought an adorable one at sportsgirl – now to be brave enough to wear it even though the weather probably doesn't warrant wearing it.

    1. I know right? I wore this one to the markets one morning when it was still chilly but by 9am it was hot and sunny and I didn't really need it anymore. Oh well, #farshun.

  2. Haha I'm definitely guilty of wearing beanies in Cali during the summer! Right now I'm especially loving neon beanies <3
