I saw this jacket at Blonde Venus a few weekends ago and it’s been haunting my dreams ever since. It’s by Melbourne label Kinoak, who are relatively new on the scene and definitely ones to watch. I have a soft spot for anything a bit varsity inspired and this is the perfect modern interpretation of the varsity jacket. Unfortunately, at a little over $500, I doubt I’ll be seeing it in my wardrobe any time soon. In the meantime, however, I’ll be poring over the rest of Kinoak’s ‘Rookie’ AW12 collection and I suggest that you do the same.

This is the ONLY varsity jacket I have ever seen that I like. Ever. Its not blatantly trying to be too "high school" and the colors are spectacular. Jealous! I've never been into it because I was a cheerleader and only the football players wore them (and while I cheered for them, they were all fashionably challenged dorks)
It's so pretty in real life. The leather sleeves! *swoon* I was that idiot in the store that kept stroking all the clothes haha.
Since we don't have the whole cheerleading/jock culture in Aus I guess it's easier to idealise it in a fashion sense. But I do prefer the 'glory days' of varsity dressing i.e. 50s/60s fashion. And Grease. haha.
thats so cute, i usually hate varsity jackets but i really like the blue colour on that!
