dr martens: all in white

The good news: I bought my very first pair of Dr Martens. When I saw these all-white ones I knew they had to be mine. You might even remember them from an outfit wish list I posted a while back. So when ASOS slashed their price by 50% it was as if the online shopping gods were aligning.
The bad news: They’re too big and I’ll have to return them. In my haste to purchase them, I failed to cross check the ASOS size guide with the Dr Martens one. I was under the impression I had ordered my usual size AU10/UK8/EU41 but they were actually an EU42. Sad face. I can’t even exchange them for a smaller size because they’re sold out. Super sad face. I’ve toyed with the idea of insoles and wearing thick socks but my brain is just telling me to cut my losses and return them.
So I’ll just use this post to document the time I had a pair of super cool Docs and to reinforce the importance of being vigilant with size guides when it comes to online shopping.

    1. They have them on the Dr Martens online store. Might hunt for a physical pair after this debacle though. Or at least try on a pair in store so I know what size to get! haha

    1. I'm hoping it will be a good news/bad news/good news story since it seems the ASOS stock is fluctuating so as long as I watch the site like a hawk I might be able to nab a smaller size for an exchange. Fingers crossed!

  1. nooo =( thats pure cruelty! they have been on my wish list for the longest time. cant wait to get my hands on them. hope u will too sometime soon =)

  2. Can you not order them directly from Doc Marten? 🙁 I can always forward them to you if they only do US shipping. I always order a half US size down and then take out the innersole because they don't do half sizes so its always a bit weird.

    1. I'm pretty sure I can. I might try a pair in store first so I know exactly what size to get next time. Thanks for the offer and I'll keep you posted in case I need to take you up on it 🙂
