wearing: secret squirrel stripes

I’ve been waiting for this Secret Squirrel top to arrive for a while now. I ordered it late on a Tuesday night, only to be told at the check out that they ship orders on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Express shipping doesn’t really feel like express shipping when you have to wait two days for it ship and there’s a weekend in the way of delivery times. Anyway, this shirt has an oversized fit and nifty zippers at the sides. It’s an ideal slouchy shirt. I think it’s going to be getting a lot of wear this winter. Also, thanks to everyone who’s voted for my entry in the Splendour in the Grass PIC ME! competition. To those without Facebook accounts who can’t vote, don’t worry because I still appreciate the thought! I’ve snuck into the Top 5 so am very excited about that.   7. So good. I looked for a similar breton-y striped top while thrifting all weekend but no dice. I may have to resort to buying one too! This particular specimen is wonderful, quirky but still perfectly simple.

    @BlithelyUnaware: my champion tip would be to buy things on a Monday/Tuesday morning to make the most of express shipping.

    @TheVelvetBow: A good breton top is hard to find. If I remember correctly I think there are some pretty decent ones in Sportsgirl. Or for a bit of a splurge the APC ones are always good.

  31. Oh I love the striped top and the side zipper detail! It's so subtle but it adds the extra touch that the shirt needs!

    I've actually never heard much about YesStyle but I decided to check it out and found quite a few blouses that I'm hoping to get! The tops are one size so I know I won't have a problem with sizing since the one that I got fits perfectly! Hopefully I won't encounter too many problems with them in the future!

  37. You know what, you're so right. Finding the perfect Breton top in a thrift store is really hard. At least this one you've bought means you won't have to continue searching. Love the exposed zip too, so rad xo
