outfit: floral shorts

I probably wear this sweater a bit too much. But it’s just so comfortable! These shorts used to be my mum’s. They were originally a weird knee length but I decided to make them shorter. The boots I bought from Asos ages ago. The reason for the flat outfit layout is due to my tripod breaking. It hasn’t been a good few days for camera equipment around these parts. My camera is falling apart too, kind of – a bit of rubber casing has come unstuck. It’s all superficial, and the camera is still fully functional, but it’s just really annoying. Also, a big thank you to everyone who voted for me in the Splendour in the Grass photo competition. Unfortunately I didn’t make the cut (nudged out in the dying minutes) but we still fought a good fight. I wouldn’t have been able to make it anywhere near the top 5 if it wasn’t for all the blog support!

  1. ohhhh I love those shorts, so cute! I love even more that you salvaged them from weird knee-length-ness. Such a shame about the competition, but lovely to see all the support out there in the blogosphere 🙂 xxx

  2. Sorry to hear you didn't make the top 5!

Oh and also, i LOVE having items in my wardrobe that I probably wear a bit too much. Good staples and are my favourites 🙂 xx

  3. Wow, I recently found some shorts in Dotti which are so similar to these, just a slightly darker shade. Yours are mighty adorable and I really like the combination with the sweatshirt.

  4. @Elyse: exactly – imagine if we used all this blog support for really really important stuff!

@herecomesthesun: it does make dressing that bit easier if you're always reaching for the same thing! haha

@TheVelvetBow: oh wow – definitely goes to show that fashion is cyclical.

@Blackswan: exactly. It was a bit of fun. And Glasto will probably take all the festival-ing out of me anyway!

@Megan: only just! It's been freezing this past week but today was lovely shorts weather.

  5. I love shorts like that, especially worn over tights with boots! That floral pattern is so pretty 🙂 And I am loving that scarf!

  6. I know that feeling! I also wear certain pieces over and over again, but I can't help loving them to distraction. I envy you that you fit into your mum's clothes, I can't! Great updating old goodies.
