I realised I had a bunch of photos on my flickr that I never ended up sharing here. These photos are from earlier on in the year. A rainy day spent antiquing (although I didn’t buy anything so I guess it just counts as window shopping) and hanging out in a part of town that I don’t usually hang out in. I love me some Where The Wild Things Are so I definitely had to snap a pic of the Max street art. It’s on the wall of a cafe, apparently. But it was closed when I was there and I didn’t catch the name of it. The purple thing is actually an exhaust for a major tunnel. They are quite polarising and opinion-dividing. Some people like them while others think they are ugly. I like the purple one but don’t like the matching red one. I guess that puts me in neutral territory.
Love these and somehow they go perfectly together, similar tones and space. I hope you continue to post more photos. 🙂

Like the pics! I know exactly where you were! The cafe is called brown dog cafe. On Saturday mornings it's usually pretty packed and people eat breakky on their laps because they don't have tables! I love the area there – kind of one of my favourite weekend haunts 🙂
This is near the Gabba, isn't it!? It's exciting to see pictures of places in my city! I love this big purple building, and the Max street art is so good!

That's amazing street art! I saw a tattoo of that somewhere online as well. One of my earliest memories is being read Where the Wild Things Are, I love it still! xx

I love the Max art very much. The drawings in that book are wonderful.
Not sure about the big purple thing; I can imagine it being a bit of an eye-sore if you had to see it everyday.
hah, these work surprisingly well as a set. the little traces of purple in the Wild Things photo = lovely.
love brown dog and woolloongabba antiques. love my suburb, so many treats! i also like the purple but am not fussed on the red.
