lilac oclock

Just as I announced my giveaway winner yesterday, today I can show off something that I won courtesy of Merowyn at Blithely Unaware. How cool is is Oclock watch? They come in a range of colours and the clock face is interchangeable with the bands. I can see myself quickly stocking up on more colours. All the colours of the rainbow, even. On a side note, look at how mangled the tin is! I can’t even begin to imagine what happened to it in transit. I probably should have complained to the courier company (which I have mentally black listed) but by the time I realised, it had already been signed for and the courier was out the gate. The watch is safe and sound though, so I’m not too fussed about the tin. It’s just amusing. I doubt this watch will be spending much time in storage anyway because I’ll be showing it off every chance I get. Also, would it be overkill if I wore it with lilac nail polish? Discuss.

  1. Oh my stars the tin!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks great on you, I love the way the lilac almost glows.

Ok, I will admit I have been known to wear my mine lilac polish… hmmmmm still don't know if it's too much or not.

  2. @Merowyn: that was pretty much my reaction too. Because those are pretty sturdy tins. I think they must have been transporting elephants in the cargo too! haha. I think I'll give the double lilac a go!

  3. it's such a beautiful, minimalist watch! and it looks so lovely with your skin tone. in regards to the nail polish, give it a go! you can always take it off if it's too much.

    xx

  4. Ohh that watch is super cool! Love the minimalism of it. I wish I used my watch more often- but usually end up checking my phone/ipod 🙁

  5. That would never be overkill but it would work well having your fingers spread out and comparing the nail colour with your watch..

The tin is pretty distroted.. What would have happened for it to get into that condition…

  6. It's beautiful, I really need a lovely watch, so sick of using my phone to check the time! I'd give lilac nail polish a go.. why not, hey? I think it'd look cute.

  7. Uh, yeah, no shock. My story of stupid: parcel was weeks late already, emailed the company and one item was out of stock. Finally get it sent, but I've moved since then so I rang the courier company to make sure the mail redirection would work, apparently it would. Well, it didn't because I had to drive past my old house and there it was, on the verandah, no one had signed for it when it was required. THANKS ALOT!!!
That's the only thing I hate about internet shopping.
And that's not the first time I've had problems either, but I won't go there!
Anyways, I say lilac polish or any other pastel would work well. I think yellow would look really good, or perhaps a light brown that I keep seeing around?
Love the watch btw, and I want one now!!

  8. I love these watches, and lilac is my favourite of all the colours! I think it would look adorable with lilac nail polish <3

  9. thanks for the good luck wishes.

  10. firstly, yourblogissosweeet! secondly, what an awesome watch! I wouldn't mind wearing that, usually I don't wear them but that one is pretty neat to not wear. thirdly, I say go for the lilac on lilac!
