thrift exchange: theme #2

It’s the start of a new month, which means the start of a new challenge. To re-jog your memories, Jaharn from iamvintagelover.com and I are partaking in a cross continental exchange of sorts. The premise of The Thrift Exchange is that we pick a theme/challenge at the beginning of the month and then spend the remainder of that month hunting down the perfect piece via op-shops, vintage markets, etsy, and ebay – which we will then send to the other person. All while staying within our $15 budget. As I chose the theme last month, this time it was Jaharn’s turn. How wonderful an idea was this? Pulling the theme out of a milk bottle! Love it. I can’t wait to get started on this floral challenge (although I still have to post my item from the first month’s challenge later today). Once we receive the items from the first challenge, we’ll both be doing outfit posts and writing a bit about our experiences. Thus completing the first Thrift Exchange cycle. So keep checking back for updates!

  1. an awesome idea!
i find thrifting requires great eye for details, which is very tiring lol, so it never fails to amaze me that a lot of people manage to find great stuff while thrifting!

  3. What a lovely idea! I might have to do this with a few of my friends just for fun. Even the photos of the milk bottle are inspiring. Good luck with the floral challenge and I can't wait to see photos posted of the first one.

  4. Is it weird that I got excited just looking at those pieces of paper? So many things I want to incorporate more of into my wardrobe! Pleats! Leopard! Lace! Polka dots! Oh so lovely.
