“Who was your favourite act at Big Day Out?”
“Matt and Kim”
“… who?”
That conversation has played out a lot over the past couple of days. If you fall into the category of people who don’t know who Matt and Kim are, then I say, get yourselves educated. Their Big Day Out set was one for the ages. So much so, that I am dedicating a whole post to it. Tucked up on the hill at the Lilyworld stage, there were only a few hundred people who bore witness to the amazingness that was Matt and Kim. Everyone was dancing around and loving life. Well, everyone in the first couple of rows anwyay. I didn’t bother checking behind me. These two are hands down the cheeriest band ever. EVER. It was infectious. You couldn’t help but smile. If they ever play in your town, go see them. You won’t regret it. Fact.

Ahh I've wanted to see them for so long! Just their shows on YouTube make me feel happy.
Have heard the song and of the band many times, but hadn't put together who it was by what songs they had etc. They sound so fun! I will investigate further, I need some new tunes!

I was super excited to read this as aside from my boyfriend i haven’t heard of anyone else liking the band. When we were in New York last year this song was our little "anthem" haha. Oh and there is a super cute clip floating around with this song at the moment, it features some Coney Island performers that we saw. PHEW long comment!

"Daylight" was my summer anthem in 2009. It was the greatest summer of my life. When I hear that song, I am immediately reminded of some of the best memories.
