seeing stripes

Some stripey inspiration, for the first Thrift Exchange challenge. I had a lot of these images already saved on my computer and, needless to say, when it comes to stripes I’m all about channeling my inner sailor. The classic combination of navy, white, and red is all that I really need. But then, for a bit of fun, I decided to think outside the navy and white striped box and, taking inspiration from the SS2011 runways, go crazy with colour:
I’m sorry if the amount of stripes in this post is a bit seizure inducing. I think I’ve reached my stripes quota for the day (or week or month or year, even).

  1. Love the skirt with orange? and grey striped very cute indeed. I don't normally follow trend so do you mean stripe is on right now? I might save this look for next time then. cute blog, I love it.

  2. I always think of stripes being navy and white too to go with the whole nautical theme, but i do always like colourful things, may have to consider going "crazy with colour" 😀 nice post

  3. Ohhhh such pretty collages! I found a vintage dress that looked just like a longer version of that left tan skirt! The whole front was SO stained it was the prettiest powder pink colour too!

Today i saw a small child wearing the coolest outfit… navy and white stripped skirt, with a red and white pock-a-dot shirt, stripy bowes in her braided hair and white frilly socks.

    Amazingg.
