Juliette Hogan. AW2011. “The Morning After The Night Before”.

I always look forward to seeing what New Zealand designer Juliette Hogan comes up with each season. For her Autumn/Winter 2011 collection she gives us a glimpse of a slicker aesthetic. Sharper, more tailored lines take over from the softer silhouettes that the label is known for. But only slightly – the collection still features plently of sheer fabrics, florals, and her signature accordian pleat skirts. It’s a little bit An Education and a little bit Mad Men. But it’s still definitely Juliette Hogan. Brisbane girls, if you’re interested, Chasing Bow and Violent Green both stock the label (although I can’t remember ever seeing any pieces in Violent Green – they must get snapped up before I even get the chance to look!)

  1. I was so suprised with this collection as she is usually a lot more romantic and floaty, not that I am complaining because it is beautiful. Ack why do lovely new clothes always end up being the most expensive ones!
